Planning Department
The Planning Department is responsible for development, implementation and administration of a variety of projects pertaining to District operations. Using Parks & Recreation Facility Master Plan, and 2007 Nexus Study to guide their efforts, the Planning Department relies on input from residents to ensure that growth in El Dorado Hills is managed in ways that address needs of residents. The Planning Department is responsible for:
- District Park and Recreation Facility Planning,
- District Park Land Acquisition Negotiation's and annexations
- Funding capital improvements
- Management of cable television franchise
- Management of Solid Waste collection franchises
- Recycling Programs
- Creation of Landscape and Lighting Assessment Districts
- The annual review and update of park development impact fees.
Special projects including the annual Tree Chipping Program, and Community Clean Up Days are managed by the Planning Department.
