Creative Movement

Rooted in the conventions of ballet, this popular class, set to children’s music, provides structure and allows for individual creativity. Beginning dancers are introduced to coordination, stretch exercises, rhythm and basic terminology through music, dance and dramatic exercises, all
which improve self-awareness and build motivation.

Pre-Ballet

Ballet is one of the world’s most timeless and elegant dance arts, where placement of the body, poise and proper alignment are emphasized. This class utilizes appropriate classical terminology and includes barre work, adagio, petite allegro, grand allegro and turns.


Ballet I
Ages 6 - 9

Learn the appropriate classical terminology and include barre work, adagio, petite allegro, grand allegro and turns. Classes range in level depending on student’s ability, and primarily follow the classical Cecchetti method of ballet training, though EDDA instructors are familiar with and will draw from R.A.D. (Royal Academy of Dance) and Vaganova techniques.


Pre-Tap
Ages 5 - 7

An American theatrical dance form, Tap is distinguished by percussive footwork that marks out precise rhythmic patterns. Lil’ tappers can brush, flap, shuffle or ball change to learn the basic principles of rhythm and timing.

Calling all Little Chefs! Join us in the kitchen where we will explore the culinary world through a child’s eyes. We work with all fresh/organic ingredients and eat or share our creations. Class features nutrition and kitchen safety. Please bring $25 material fee to first class.

Early Engineers we use a variety of building materials – such as LEGO, Kapla blocks, K’nex, and much more, to inspire innovation and creativity. We provide an environment that promotes teamwork social cooperation, builds self confidence and highlights the process not the result. Projects and lessons are created by professional artists, architects and engineers, as well as those with backgrounds in psychology and early childhood education.


Memorize Addition and Subtraction Facts to 9

Ages 6 & up

Children will have fun while learning the concept and memorization of the
addition and subtraction facts without counting. This method uses the senses of vision, hearing, and touch to help children make associations of pictures, colors, and shapes with the math facts. Your child will receive a certificate of completion and a binder with activities for reinforcement at home. Please bring a $45 materials fee payable to Ways That Work on the first day of class.


Memorize the Multiplication Facts

Children will have fun while learning the multiplication facts the fun, fast, and easy way. This method uses the senses of vision, hearing, and touch as well as rhythm and rhyme to help create associations to the multiplication facts. Your child will receive a certificate of completion

Introduction to Engineering and Robotics Using LEGO® Mindstorms®
Age 9 - 13

Provide your child a foundation for learning Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fundamentals using LEGO Mindstorms NXT! The course will introduce students 21st century skill sets in a fun and team-oriented way. Students will understand structural building concepts using LEGOs, build and program unique robots to accomplish missions. (The students will NOT be able to take any of their LEGO
creations). Over 500 universities across the globe use LEGO robots in their engineering courses and why not let your child get a head start? Each session will build on the skills learned so your child can register for multiple sessions.


Mad Science: Crazy Chemworks
Age 6 - 12

Shake up a flask of fun in the lab as a junior chemist! These five half-days of chemistry are packed solid with cool reactions. Campers put on some goggles and change liquid to solid and back again. They get to handle laboratory tools, build and break molecules, and pick up some tricks on chemical changes.

New York actress Ingrid Laurentiis- Wilson, founder of One Way Productions brings her many years of professional acting and teaching

Certified Babysitting

Two-day course includes information and skills necessary to provide
safe and responsible care for children. Participants develop skills in
interviewing, accident prevention, care for medical emergencies and
basic child care. An ASHI certificate will be issued upon completion of class. Please bring a snack. You may also be interested in our CPR for Babysitters course.



Fun In The Saddle
Ages 6 & up
