Plunging into 2013!

The weather outside is frightful, but the Pool is so delightful…Grab the family and bring them down for an afternoon of swimming. Take the plunge on New Year’s Day! Shhhhh… Don’t tell anyone that the water is actually 80 degrees. Hot chocolate will be served!

Fee: $5 Pre-Register
The Spring Bunny will be hopping into El Dorado Hills Aquatic Area to visit the boys and girls! Activities Include: water activities/games, visit from the Bunny & Aqua-Egg Hunt at 2:45pm SHARP! Plastic eggs will be drifting
throughout the pool filled with assorted special goodies! Please have
children bring their own baskets.

FREE! April Pool’s Day
Saturday, April 27 • 12-3pm

No fooling, you’ll have a great time at this smorgasbord of aquatics
events! Try some water polo, get some tips on improving your dives,
challenge your Dad to a game of water basketball, or see a Swim
Instructor for some advice on your stroke. Take this time to get a “Sneak Peek” of the programs that will be offered at the pool this summer.

High School Pre-Season Swim Clinic
Ages 13 - 18

Get a head start on the swim season by joining us for a stroke, technique, and conditioning clinics. UC Davis Hall of Famer and Oak Ridge Swim Team Head Coach, Patrick Foster is on deck instructing swimmers to their highest potential. We look forward to seeing you at the Pool!

Lap Swim
Ages 16 & up

A great full body workout! Create your own or follow the posted workout. Pull buoys & kickboards are available for use. This program must have a minimum of 10 participants.

Youth Triathlon Camp
Ages 7 - 15

Be ready to swim, bike and run in this fun and exciting camp designed to introduce and promote the sport of triathlon. Learn swimming, running and cycling techniques, safety, proper training guidelines and the mental and physical demands of the sport. Participants must provide their own equipment and be able to swim one lap of a 25-yard pool, run ¼ mile and bike 1 mile. No refunds granted after class begins.

Pool Rentals

El Dorado Hills Community Pool Rentals The pool is available for private parties and special occasions. Rentals are ideal for large parties such as birthdays, company picnics, and youth outings. Rentals require a two-hour minimum, rental fee includes certified lifeguards. Call 614- 3217 for availability.

CSD Water Polo Junior League
Ages: 6 - 18

You no longer have to wait until High School to start working on your water
polo skills. Sign up today to join the CSD league. Program includes introductory instruction on how to play the game and the group will be split up into teams that will play over the 8 week period.

Lifeguard Training Academy
Ages 15 & up

Looking for a cool summer job? Plan ahead and learn exciting skills that will prepare you to work as a certified lifeguard this summer. American Red Cross instructors will certify you in Lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First Aid. The academy includes lecture, videos and skill practice sessions in and out of the water. Participants are required to pass a Red Cross
Swim Test to participate in the class.

TAZ Winter Swim Clinic
Ages: 6 - 18

TAZ Swim Team Head Coach Jason Brown and staff will be on deck to
coach a Winter Swim Clinic. This clinic is for young swimmers that want
to improve their strokes and stay in swim shape. Swimmers interested in a competitive team experience are encouraged to sign up for this clinic and learn about the TAZ! Experienced swimmers only.

TAZ Spring Swim Clinic*

Spring into action with the TAZ Swim Teach coaches and get a head start
on your summer swim season. Coach Jason Brown will be on deck to instruct youth swimmers on skill development and swim endurance. This is a great opportunity to have a sneak peek of the TAZ culture… to see if your swimmers may want to be a part of the summer swim team.

TAZ Intense Yardage Clinic*
Ages: 6 - 18

This clinic is for serious swimmers that want to challenge themselves to rise to the next level. The focus of this clinic is endurance that will set youth swimmers up for a successful summer season. This clinic is designed for experienced swimmers looking for a hard workout.
*4/24 practice ends a 8pm

Sacramento State Aquatic Center


Basic Rowing
Ages 12 & up

Designed for the beginning/novice rower. It teaches safety, boat control,
proper care of equipment, and correct rowing technique. Students will row in open water type rowing shells designed for a single person.

Windsurfing
Ages 12 & up

Designed for those with little or no experience and will familiarize the
student with the basic fundamentals of windsurfing. This class covers rigging, terminology, balance, stances and sailing theory. Instructors will utilize the latest techniques and a variety of sail sizes to decrease fatigue and help accelerate learning.

Basic Sailing
Ages 12 & up

This course is designed for those with little or no sailing experience. The 14 hour course covers boating safety, knots, rigging and sailing theory. On the water skills such as boat handling, docking, sail-trim and capsize recovery will be taught on Holder 14 sailboats.

Water Ski / Wakeboarding
Ages 8 & up

For students at all levels of wake boarding and water skiing. The class is for the beginner, who has never skied or wake boarded, to the advanced who wishes to improve on technique or break bad habits. Trick skiing and knee boarding can also be covered during this lesson. Equipment will be provided, but students may bring their own if they prefer.

Sunset/Full Moon Paddles
Ages 14 – Adult (younger ok with parent)

Glide across the water of Lake Natoma beneath the fascinating light and shadows of the setting sun and rising moon. Except for the sounds of animals and birds settling down at twilight, you’ll have the stillness of the lake to yourself. Introductory skills session and equipment provided.

Kayaking for Adults
Ages 50 & up

Adventure and exploration aren’t just for teenagers! Kayaking is great for fitness and easy on the body. These stress free paddles are the new activity of choice for baby boomers and beyond!

Discover Kayaking for Fun & Fitness
Ages 14 & up (younger ok with parent)

Learn proper equipment selection and fit, along with basic safety and paddling skills. We’ll tour the lake while refining skills and stopping for lunch along the way. All equipment provided. Please bring a snack or lunch.
